It’s a rotten, discouraging economy out there for both the employed and unemployed. Those with jobs are looking for better job opportunities and those without are just looking for good jobs, all in an economy where dismissal growth is high and recession seems to be the order of the day. Despite the bleak turn of things in the job market, some have found a way to balance the scales and still earn a reasonable take home pay at the end of each month. In a community where there’s demand, the opportunity to be a supplier to that demand will always be rewarding.
The availability of time on your hands doesn’t make you unemployed unless you want to be as there are stay at home jobs you can start to earn you a living while sending out job applications and waiting for positive callbacks. Even while you work, there are jobs you can do on the side through making wise investments and in turn employing people with skills to manage your business while you work. What skills do you have? What are you interested in learning? How much time do you have on your hands to invest into that full time or side job? What are the things you’ll need to begin and successfully continue the job? What are the risks and rewards involved? How flexible can you be with your hours? What problem are you solving out there? What kind of demographic will you be catering to?
All these questions and more are needed to be asked and answered as you venture into this line of business. So, what can you do while waiting for that callback, that job appointment or that change of job? Here goes:
- Tutoring/Coaching (Online or In Person)
- Content Writing
- Virtual Assistant
- Social Media Management
- Data Analysis
- Event Management
- Hair Dressing/Fashion Designing
- Web/Graphic Design
… Or a mixture of some of the listed above and some researched on by you.
Have a lovely, flexible Wednesday.
